Pakoda is the most popular indian street food and perfect pair to a cup of tea.
So today I have an easy and super yummy recipe for you, moong Dal pakoda. There are so many types of pakoda like onion pakoda, gobhi pakoda , mix veg pakoda etc. But this one is one of my favorites.
We can call Moong Dal pakoda a healthier version of pakodas and believe me friends you'll love it more than any pakoda recipe. It can be prepared with all those ingridients which are easily available in kitchen.
So let's make this yummy moong Dal vada or pakoda

1 cup:- 250 ml






INGRIDIENTS:-

  • Split moong dal- 1 cup
  • Green chili- 2
  • Ginger - 2 inch
  • Salt as required
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Chopped onion- 1 medium sized 
  • Green coriander leaves- handful
  • Curry leaves - 5-6
  • Crushed coriander seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed fennel or sonf- 1/2 tsp
  • Heeng - 1/4 tsp
  • Black pepper powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Cooking soda- 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - for deep fry

DIRECTION:-

1.Rinse moong Dal and soak it overnight or for 3-4 hrs.
                 
2.Add Dal into a mixer grinder jar, add green chili, ginger and salt in it and grind it to smooth paste by gradually adding required water don't add too much water just add little bit so we can grind it easily.
                   

3.Now take paste in a bowl and add onion, coriander leaves, curry leaves, crushed coriander seeds, crashed sonf, heeng, Black pepper powder and cooking soda.

4.Now mix it well.
5.Batter is ready for pakodi.
               
6.Heat oil in a pan to deep fry pakodas.
7.Add spoonfuls in heated oil and deep fry them in medium till golden color.
             

Pakodas are ready serve or enjoy with green chutney
