Instant rava uttpam recipe | rava uttpam | रवा उत्तपम रेसिपी

I always crave for easy to make Food. When it comes to South indian food uttpam is always my first pick. Uttpam is the recipe which always inspired me to do something innovative coz we can make uttpam with so many innovations. Specially by adding veggies in it. You can make uttpam in pizza style also. Uttpam is my personally favorite coz it's the recipe which is preferable for every season so uttpam is all time favorite just you need to do experiment by adding seasonable veggies.
If it's winter you can add green peas, carrot, cabbage etc.
Or if it is summer you can add onion tomato green chili etc.
These all veggies are available in every season but most of the time we should prefer seasonable veggies coz they are fresh and healthy.
Here I am sharing uttpam with simple tomato, onion and green chili with a little bit touch of pizza style.
                     
So let's make this yummy colorful uttpam.

1 cup - 250

INGREDIENTS:-

  • Semolina/ sooji/ rava -  1 cup
  • Salt -as required
  • Cumin powder:- 1/2 tsp 
  • Pinch of turmeric (u can skip it for white uttpam )
  • Mustard seeds:-1/4 tsp
  • Sour curd:- 1 cup
  • Tomato - 1
  • Onion - 1 medium size
  • Green chili - 1 
      here I have used tomato, onion,green chilies           (you can use vegetables as many as you want)
  • Oil- 1 tbs.
  • Water to make batter - 1 cup

DIRECTIONS:-

  • Chop all veggies finely. 
  • Take a bowl and add rava in it.
  • Add salt and cumin powder in it.
                   


  • Add sour curd in it.
                 

  • Now add 1/2 water and rest for 10 min.
                     

  • Rava will absorb water so batter can be thick so add rest 1/2 cup water and mix well.
  • You can add a pick of turmeric for this beautiful Yellow color.
                     

  • Batter is ready to make uttpam.
  • Heat a non-stick pan or you can take simple tawa also but there are chances of sticking uttpam.
  • Now take 2-3 tsp oil in pan and spread it.
                     

  • Sprinkle pinch of mustard seeds and spread batter in circular motion.
                         

  • Let's start the toppings of veggies add toppings one by one on uttpam.
  • First add green chili then tomato and onion you can use green coriander leaves also or other veggies you like
                       


  • Now press veggies with a turner to set them in Uttpam.
                       

  • You can sprinkle mixed herbs to add flavor in Uttpam.
                         

  •  Now cover pan with a lid.
                         

  • Cook it for 2 min.
  • Now flip and cook other side for next 2 min.
                     

  • Uttpam is ready serve hot with chutneys.
