In this rainy season all we need is a cup of hot tea with yummy snack so here I have an amazing quick and yummy recipe for you. Besan ka chilla is a perfect breakfast and snack, prepared with besan or gram flour or chickpeas flour, spices and some veggies.
To make it more yummy  and healthy you can add your favorite veggies in it.
I always in search of quick recipes and try to convert my favorite recipes into their quick version so I can enjoy them in less time.
So here I am sharing this besan chilla recipe and you can prepare it quickly to satisfy your hunger pangs.
We can do so many experiment with this recipe by adding our favorite veggies like chili, onion,carrot, cabbage, tomato and so more.....
Here I'm sharing simple chili and onion chilla which takes less time than others and perfect for instant breakfast and snacking.
So let's make this yummy chatpata breakfast and snack recipe besan chilla.......

INGRIDIENTS:-

  • besan or gramflour - 3 tbs / 1 cup 
  • Onion - 1 medium
  • Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - handful
  • Red chili powder / Lal mirch - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt as required
  • Turmeric or haldi -  1/4 tsp
  • Coriander/ dhaniya powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Jeera powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Ajwayan -  1/4 tsp
  • Fennel seeds or sonf  - 1/4 tsp
  • Water 
  • Oil to cook chila

DIRECTIONS:-

To make batter:-

  • Chop onion, green chili and coriander leaves finely.
  • Now add besan in a bowl.
                       


  • Add finely chopped onion and green chili in it.
                     

  • Add handful finely chopped green coriander
    leaves.
  • Now we'll add all spices one by one first add red chili powder, then salt , turmeric, coriander powder and jeera powder in it and mix well.
                               






  • Add ajwayan and fennel seeds or sonf in it.
                     


  • Now we'll add water with one hand slowly and stir mixture with another hand to avoid lumps.
                     

  • Still there are lumps in mixture break them.
  • Batter should not be so thick.
  • It should be smooth enough so can spread it over tawa or pan.
                     

To make chilla:-
  • Heat a tawa or a non stick pan.
  • If you are using a tawa spread little bit oil on it and then spread batter in circular motion to make chilla.
                     


  • If you are using nonstick pan you can spread batter directly.
  • Drizzle some oil around the chilla.
  • Flip it when it seperates to the surface of tawa.
  • Flip it carefully.
  • Drizzle a few drops around chilla.
  • Don't use too much oil to cook chilla it makes chilla oily.
  • cook chilla from both sides.
  • Both side would be golden brown 
    chilla is ready. 
    Serve it with khatti mithi chutney or pickle.
